Steak & Seafood in Point Pleasant Beach

Tradewinds is a family-run steak and seafood restaurant in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, just south of the boardwalk at The White Sands Oceanfront Resort. We bring together thoughtfully prepared food, craft cocktails, and personal hospitality in a setting that feels special and puts you at ease.

Executive Chef John Boden brings his experience and personal touch to prime steaks and coastal favorites, from charred octopus and drunken clams to filet mignon and lobster ravioli. Seasonal specials offer something new to discover, while a carefully selected wine list helps you find the right pairing.

Warm wood accents, inviting bar seating, and a welcoming dining room set the scene for anniversaries, birthdays, date nights, and catching up with friends. Stop in for dinner or cocktails and a bite at the bar. No special occasion required.

Finish with dessert and an espresso, or head next door to the Double Z Bourbon Lounge for whiskey, cocktails, and conversation. Whether it’s your first visit or your usual night out, we want Tradewinds to feel like a place you belong.

Hospitality is personal to us. Come as you are. We’re glad you’re here.

Meet the Chef

Executive Chef John Boden

Executive Chef John Boden brings decades of culinary experience and a lifelong connection to the Jersey Shore to Tradewinds. A Manasquan native, he discovered his passion for cooking while serving in the U.S. Navy, completing three culinary programs before graduating from the Culinary Institute of America.

Boden spent 28 years in New York City during an exciting period in its culinary history. His charitable and fundraising work brought opportunities to collaborate with chefs Lidia Bastianich, Mario Batali and Bobby Flay. He also helped lead an annual benefit for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for more than 20 years and worked with the Columbus Citizens Foundation on its Columbus Day Parade and gala at the Waldorf Astoria.

At Tradewinds, Boden’s cooking is guided by simplicity and respect for exceptional ingredients. He has a particular passion for seafood and prioritizes fresh local seafood and produce whenever available, allowing their natural flavors to speak for themselves. That philosophy is reflected in his signature halibut—Tradewinds’ most popular dish—featuring delicate white fish with a Parmesan-panko crust and citrus beurre blanc, served over creamy pea risotto.

Returning to the Jersey Shore is deeply personal for Boden. Growing up in Manasquan, life revolved around the beach, fishing, crabbing and a close-knit community proudly known as the “clam diggers.” After nearly three decades in New York City, he feels fortunate to be home, creating food inspired by the Shore, his Italian heritage and his family’s roots in Positano.
